Bethany Children's home in India

The Bethany Children´s Home was founded in 1989 in Southern India,  Vijayawada by a Finnish missionary Elvi Singh with her Indian husband, pastor Peter Singh. The girls who live there are at the age of 4 to 16 years old and have been sent to the home because it has not been safe or possible for them to stay with their own relatives. At the home they get to live in security and away from danger.

They all attend a local school and all of their basic needs are met in the caring environment of the home. Hope for Tomorrow has been supporting this work since 2014. Elvi has been taking care of the children´s home, since her husband died, with her daughter Ruth and Indian staff. Ruth is studying in Finland to become a practical nurse sponsored by Hope for Tomorrow since 2022.
